Description
Aberdeenshire, Scotland is abundant with folklore, poetry, stories and standing stones, carved stones, magical witchy woodland and fairy maiden meadows. Myths legends and stories of a thousand mysteries. In this case an image of a back road. Could be a shortcut. Could lead to light. Could lead somewhere else. Where is the thin line between what attracts us in a particular direction and what triggers the opposite and makes us decide not to go.

Very mystical scene! The black silhouettes of the trees and the subtle lights are fantastic! l/f

Mysterious and a little bit scary. Would I, seeking adventure, walk down that dark road or turn around to go somewhere bright, cheerful and welcoming?Nice work!

In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS! And consider adding your image to DISCUSSIONS "Please post your featured photograph here" for greater, long-lasting visibility.
