Description
At St Margaret's Church Forgue Aberdeenshire Scotland, A visitor might never feel alone as they discover this extremely atmospheric location. A most attractive church in rural Scotland, with impressive features and idyllic surroundings. This church is a fine example of authentic Scotland and the almost fairy tale folklore aesthetic for which this storytelling area is so well reknowned for.
Of course some visitors do feel very alone when they visit a churchyard,
A verse from "Each Year This August Week".
He stood at the gateway all day
but could no longer look at the grave
just how had he failed to pray
for the very soul he was sent to save
there would be no Autumn
tiny fingers, no baby to cry
no cradle, no present, no smile
just a stone, a gate and the sky....
St Margaret's Episcopal Church was built 1856 by architect William Ramage. Located in a rural location a short distance south of the small village of Forgue. There is a separate graveyard and rectory situated close by.
